The north-east coast on Google Maps.
Leaving the Isle of Skye you reach the famous Loch Ness lake, which can also be reached by boat thanks to the navigable canal with locks that connects the north-western coast with the north-eastern coast of Scotland. Once you reach the town of Inverness, the beautiful coast begins with a first stretch of long sandy beaches that lap small and large bays that are not very frequented, where it is sometimes possible to see spotted seals resting in the sun. Continuing north towards the town of Wick the beaches give way to cliffs. Initially low they rise more and more until reaching the cape of Duncansby Head the northern point in front of the archipelago of the Orkney Islands where there is an important lighthouse that warns sailors of the dangers present in this stretch of coast. The journey ends in the small village of John o' Groats where you can taste some typical local dishes. A journey and a holiday among ancient castles, uninhabited beaches and wild cliffs beaten by the wind and the sea.
