The Messenia Peninsula on Google Maps.
Among the Ionian Sea (west) and the waters of the Messinian Gulf (east), the Messenia Peninsula is rich of history and ancient Venetian fortresses. These ancient citadels are visited each year from thousands of visitors who take advantage of the long sandy beaches and the beautiful sea with clean waters present along the peninsula.
A trip to visit a part of Greek history with long walks on the cliffs overlooking the sea or visiting crowded tourist towns of restaurants serving excellent dishes with fresh fish and local craft shops.
