Vancouver Island on Google Maps.
Vancouver Island, 455 km for and 83 km wide on average, is the Canadian island of British Columbia where nature reigns uncontested. The interior is covered by dense forests of pine and fir trees inhabited by bears that go to the uninhabited coasts in search of crabs and small crustaceans which they are greedy. In the ocean on the Pacific side, whales pass through, while in the channel separating the island from the Canadian coast, the passage of the killer whales is observed. But it is not only an island rich in vegetation and nature, it is also the island of the ancient traditions, villages and cultures of the first tribes that populated the island as the testimony of the hundreds of totems that seen through the streets and In the island countries. An island of ancient roots as told by the murales of Chemainus or the historic center of Victoria, the capital of the island. An unusual and unforgettable journey for nature lovers and uncontaminated and unpopular places like Tofino and Telegraph Cove, famous for whale watching. An island just a few miles away from the modern and dynamic city of Vancouver, capital of the Canadian British Columbia region.
